2) What we collect
- Contact details: email and optionally name to operate a double‑opt‑in beta waitlist, confirmations, and educational communications.
- Survey/intake data: primary skin goals, skin feel, sensitivities, climate, routine steps, and optional context (e.g., pregnancy/derm conditions) to personalize wellness guidance; sensitive items are optional and include “Prefer not to say.”
- Technical/usage data: device/browser info, page views, UTM parameters, and event data from analytics and ad pixels for performance and attribution.
- Images (future features): if photos are uploaded later for analysis, they are stored securely and used to generate explainable, brand‑neutral guidance; photo upload is not required for the current validation survey.
3) How we use information
- Send beta confirmations, manage the waitlist, and deliver ingredient‑education aligned to selected interests.
- Generate personalized, explainable, brand‑neutral routines with ingredient guardrails based on preferences and sensitivities.
- Validate market demand, improve features, monitor reliability, and measure campaign performance and attribution.
- Maintain security, prevent misuse, and comply with applicable obligations under PIPA.
4) Consent & lawful basis
- We rely on consent for collecting and using contact details and survey responses; consent can be withdrawn at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us.
- We avoid making consent a condition of service beyond what is necessary to provide requested wellness guidance.
5) Cookies, analytics & pixels
- We use cookies and pixels to operate the site, understand engagement, and attribute advertising performance; browser and platform settings can limit tracking.
- Limiting cookies or personalized ads may affect certain features while the site remains available for basic use.
6) Sharing & service providers
- Personal information may be processed by service providers (email delivery, analytics, advertising platforms, hosting) under contracts requiring confidentiality, security, and use only on our instructions.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, and services, consistent with PIPA.
7) Storage, location & transfers
- Data may be stored or processed in Canada and other jurisdictions by service providers with contractual safeguards intended to protect information.
- Where information is transferred outside Alberta, individuals retain PIPA rights as described below, and we apply comparable safeguards.
8) Retention & deletion
- We retain information only as long as reasonably required for beta operations, product validation, security, and legal obligations, after which it is deleted or de‑identified.
- Individuals may request deletion or withdraw consent; we will act unless retention is required or permitted by law.
9) Your rights under Alberta PIPA
- Access: request access to personal information in our custody and information about its use and disclosure.
- Correction: request correction of inaccuracies or incompleteness in personal information we hold.
- Withdrawal of consent: withdraw or vary consent on reasonable notice, subject to legal or contractual limits.
- Complaint: contact us first; if unresolved after reasonable opportunity, you may file a privacy complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner (OIPC) of Alberta following the OIPC process.
10) Children
The services are intended for adults; we do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and age‑related controls form part of our compliance roadmap.
11) Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, role‑based access, logging/monitoring, and periodic testing aligned with our cloud‑native MVP architecture.
12) Changes to this policy
We will update this page for material changes and revise the Effective date; continued use after updates signifies acceptance. [2]
